I have been obsessed with making things since I was a little girl. I have always had a God given talent to create little masterpieces. I finally found the art that I want to make the rest of my life. It is a privilege to be a newborn photographer, and to work with your precious babies that are just a few days old. Working with them is priceless to me, and I love creating something that families can cherish years and years to come.
I am a local girl to the Charleston, SC area. I grew up on Sullivan’s Island, and have never moved away from Charleston in thirty something years. As of September first I will be moving my home studio to a new studio in N. Charleston I am so excited for this new change for me! I have been blessed with 14 years of a wonderful marriage with another Charleston local. We haven’t had kids yet, but do have two fur babies a 10 month old hyper but gorgeous chocolate lab, and a 12 year old Boykin Spaniel that is a crazed, hyper nut that stole my heart. I am obsessed with spending all my money on Etsy, and spending hours gawking over things on Pinterest, and searching the local antique stores for my next new prop. My husband and I love to travel and frequently visit the Caribbean a few times a year.
My style is natural with a hint of props. I love a baby in their birthday suit with their behind in the air showing all of their squishy rolls, little fingers, rosy little lips and yes I love a unposed image of a newborn on a cream backdrop with their hands above their head relaxing. I don’t commit myself to one particular style as each session inspires me in a different way than the one before it. As for outdoor sessions I love capturing the sun in your background and creating a timeless image for you with gorgeous lighting that creates magic. I love all light!!! Natural light and a strobe light, they both do incredible things to your image and I couldn’t imagine myself only using one. I have been trained to use both!
